Georg Klütsch

Georg Klütsch was born in 1951 in Düren and studied music education in Mainz and Detmold. His artistic-instrumental training was carried out with professor Helman Young at the Nordwestdeutsche Musikakademie, where he passed his concert exam with distinction.

For many years Georg Klütsch was the principal bassoonist with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Sabine Meyer wind ensemble.

As a professor at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar he quickly succeeded in setting up a successful class. In 2001 he was appointed professor of bassoon and chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne as well as Dean of the faculty of orchestral instruments.

More than 50 students of his class have become firmly established in orchestras worldwide.
